Should you replace or repair your roof?
Some say that it’s easier to just repair it, however that may not be the best route in every situation. Yes, maybe some can get away with an easy repair, however, for most of our customers we recommend doing a full roof replacement and here’s why.
How old is your roof?
Depending on the age of your roof will play a large factor in whether or not you should just go ahead and repair it. If it’s just a couple years old then you may be in the right position to just do an easy repair. However, if your roof is reaching the 10 year mark, then it’s probably in your best interest to go ahead and do a full roof replacement. You might end of saving money this way as well because if you are having to repair your roof every year then you might as well take that “repair money” and apply it toward a brand new roof.
Shingles will look brand new
When you repair a section of your roof you have to take into consideration that the shingles that will be installed are going to be brand new. Meaning, they have never seen the sun, are in mint condition, and will more than likely not match your current shingles perfectly. Depending on the size of the patch job and the position it is on the roof will play a factor in whether or not it is a good idea to go ahead and replace the entire roof.
